  I have had negative experiences here in the past, but the most recent one takes the cake. I wish I could give this rating a zero.
  
  Last Wednesday night my grandparents were visitors at Lexington First Baptist Church. While they were there, someone wrecked into their car causing thousands of dollars' worth of damage, then drove away without reporting it.
  
  I want you to know that my grandfather has been unemployed since last November, providing around the clock care for his wife of 50 years (my grandmother) who is undergoing serious cancer treatment and has been in and out of the hospital. Since childhood I have seen my grandfather stop to help strangers in need, give people rides, change flat tires, etc, never expecting or taking anything in return for his kindness. My grandmother has been terribly sick since last year and is nearing the end of her cancer treatments which, in spite of their health insurance, have brought mountains of medical bills. My grandparents have more than their share of burdens to bear at this time.
  
  YOU have added to their burdens.
  
  I want you to know that this was the first evening my grandmother has felt well enough to get out of the house in WEEKS. YOU spoiled what should have been a happy memory for my grandmother and her grandson.
  
  I want you to know that my grandfather rarely attends functions like this, but he took my grandmother to Lexington First Baptist Church because he knew it was important to her. He went because he wanted to show his love and pride for his grandson. He felt that Lexington First Baptist Church would be a safe place to go. YOU proved otherwise. It was further solidified by the fact that the pastor of Lexington First Baptist Church refused to take responsibility or help my grandparents in ANY way.
  
  To the person who committed this UNCHRISTIAN act, I hope you see this (even though it keeps getting removed from Facebook pages, including the church's page); to the pastor of Lexington First Baptist Church; and to the Lexington Police Department who refused to file a report because the hit and run occurred on church property, shame on you.
